Ambulance service is provided by the Medical Rescue Team South Authority (MRTSA). A member of the Authority since 1993, MRTSA also serves the neighboring communities of Greentree, Castle Shannon, Dormont, Baldwin Township, and Mt. Lebanon.
Headquartered at 315 Cypress Way in Mt. Lebanon, the authority also operates out of several locations within participating municipalities. The Authority maintains a base at the Whitehall Borough Public Works Building, and often stations crews out of Fire Company Station No. 2 location.
A 12-member Board of Directors, made up of two elected officials from each municipality, oversees MRTSA operations. Todd Pritchard, Operations Manager handles the day-to-day operations.
